You can’t go wrong with this camera. It has all of the basic features and a free app. What more can you want? At this price point, it’s worth it to get a few cameras for different parts of the house. I got one for the front door and liked it so much that I got one for the garage door and playroom. I love it so much that I kind of want one for every room in the house. It’s a convenient intercom system when you’re home, and you can communicate with the people in your house when you’re not.

I’m happy that there are more options for affordable indoor security cameras. Hoop Home makes a good product.
This camera works perfectly with our Wi-Fi. It has doubled as a baby monitor since ours broke. It alerts us to sound and movement, so we know when the baby is crying even when she’s not standing up in her crib.
I am very happy with the level of storage and history. I think you get about a week of cloud storage for free.
Pros:
– Great quality
– Nice design
– Small and inconspicuous
– Responsive, real-time alerts
– Long power cord (6 feet)
– Two-way audio
– Can continuously watch live stream on the app
Cons:
– Works with google and echo show but not the ones without screens
– Power cord input is so recessed that other micro USBs don’t fit into it
This camera is a good overall indoor security camera/baby monitor. I like that I can watch the live feed continuously or it will alert me to sound/motion if I’m not watching.

The day vision on this camera is great. The night vision is spectacular! The camera picks up motion if someone or something walks in front of it in the dark. But it will also register when a light comes on. If I keep my foyer dark, I can keep track of when my kids get up and flick the hallway light on. I can also get notified when they get out of bed.
Because there is a slight delay between the motion and the notification, the kids are usually in my room by the time I get notified that they are up. But if they go into the kitchen or somewhere else in the house, I know they’re awake and I can ask them if they need help with anything.
Sometimes, the camera gets confused with motion at night. I think that it gets reflections off of the window that it’s facing. If I turn it slightly so it’s not aimed at the window, it appears to work better.
I mean, the daytime usage for this camera is perfect too, but I figured that a lot of cameras are good during the day. This one is ideal around the clock, which was what I was looking for in an indoor security cam.

I always appreciate when people leave detailed reviews, so I am going to give you a little guide for using this clever camera. It’s a newer brand, and there aren’t that many reviews, and I know it’s helpful when you have a word of mouth review.
So here’s mine.
UNBOXING
The cameras come in sturdy, cylindrical boxes. They’ll protect the cameras in shipping and even make good gifts. Inside is the camera, a micro USB cord, the plug, a sticky attachment to mount the camera, and a quick start guide.
SETUP
I opened up the quick start guide, which is really the only instructions. But this camera doesn’t have a complicated setup anyway. It’s all quick.
Plug in the camera to an outlet using the micro USB. The tiny LED by the micro USB entry will flash when it’s ready. Then, separate the camera from the magnetic base, and press the small setup button until you hear the voice from the camera.
Then, go to the app on your phone after you download it and click the add camera button. Follow the instructions on the screen. You’ll need your WiFi network name and password, and you’ll need to scan something on your phone using the camera. Therefore, keep them both handy.
USE
The most frequent way that I use the app is to watch the video live or check the history. Every time the camera senses movement or sound, it does a quick recording. You can watch that by tapping on the icon that looks like a camera on the bottom of the app. Then, click on the icon that looks like a clock at the top right to view history.
To watch live, tap “watch live” on the main camera screen from your app.
You can set reminders that the camera will broadcast for the whole house by clicking on the bell icon on the top right from the home screen in the app. The old reminders that you set will remain in the app’s history on your phone, and the camera will announce the reminder at the set time.
When I did this, the reminders on my phone said that they were recurring, and I double checked, and they were just one-time reminders. But you can set up recurring reminders from the app if you want.
I hope this review will help you make an informed decision and help you use the product if you get one.

Easy setup, excellent image quality, nice appearance.
PROS
1. SMALL camera
2. Takes 5 minutes to set up (comes with good instructions)
3. Great customer service
CONS
1. No battery option
2. Doesn’t fit with some micro USB cords
I got this to go indoors and it’s the perfect camera for my needs. It’s small and stays fairly hidden, and it looks good anyways.
The camera itself came with a small booklet of instructions. The little manual was all I needed to set up the app and hook up the camera. Between the booklet and the instructions on the app, and the camera giving voice responses, my kid could set it up.
I did have a question about hooking up to my wi-fi, but they had options for calling, emailing or doing a live chat on their website. Customer service was helpful and I asked a few other questions just to get some more info about what this camera can do.
One of the things they told me is that the micro USB entrance is recessed more than it is on some other appliances. So if you want to get a longer cord, it might not fit into the spot on the camera. Also, if your power goes out, the camera won’t stay on unless you have a generator. It turns off when it’s not plugged in.
But I am still highly impressed with this product, the setup and the operation. It is handy and doesn’t require a genius to set up or use.
