What do I do if I forgot my password?

On the login page of the Hoop Home application on your smartphone, you will see a link that says “Forgot password?” Click on that link to reset your password. For any additional issues, or if you no longer have access to the email you used to sign up with Hoop, please contact our customer support team via email at [email protected] or by calling 1-833-248-HOOP.

I misplaced my original user manual; where can I find another one?

Is there a PC/browser-based Hoop Home application?

Not at the moment.

Do I have to purchase any special hardware to install my Hoop?

No, you don’t. All necessary hardware to install your Hoop is included in the box.

Does Hoop support Bluetooth®?

No, the Hoop does not support Bluetooth connections.

Is the Hoop FCC approved?

Yes, it is.

Do you need to have the Hoop app open to receive notifications?

No, you do not. As long as you have the push notifications enabled through the app and on your mobile device, the Hoop app will continue to run in the background, and you will receive relevant notifications as needed.

Can I add another Hoop in my home?

Yes, you absolutely can. In fact, you can add as many Hoops as you’d like within your home.

If I have multiple Hoops set up, how will I know which room I’m being notified about?

When you add each Hoop to your Hoop Home application, you’ll be able to give each one a unique name. When you receive a push notification, it will tell you which Hoop triggered it.

Can I try the subscription plan without committing to a purchase right away?

Absolutely. All subscription plans include a free trial.

What is the Hoop privacy policy?

What are the power requirements for my Hoop camera?

Hoop Cam Plus: 5V/2A

Hoop Cam: 5V/1A

If your power supply does not meet these requirements, unfortunately the Hoop camera will not work and will need to be positioned near a power supply that does.

What is the rated voltage/wattage/amperage of the Hoop camera?

Hoop Cam Plus: 5V/8W/2A

Hoop Cam: 5V/3W/1A

What are the network requirements for my Hoop camera?

In order for your Hoop camera to work, the minimum required speed of your internet connection is 3 Mbps up and down. If your internet is below 3 Mbps up/down, Hoop will not perform as intended.

What are the recommended operating temperatures for the Hoop camera?

The Hoop is rated for optimal performance between 32° F – 104° F (0° C – 40° C)

Can I connect to the Hoop via VPN?

Yes, you can.

Can multiple people view my Hoop camera’s live feed at the same time?

Yes, but, for the best performance and video quality, no more than two users should be viewing your Hoop’s live feed at any point in time.

Do I need a hub to use multiple Hoop cameras?

No, you do not need a physical hub device to connect all your cameras. The virtual hub connecting your multiple cameras is the Hoop Home app itself.

Can I record and store videos from my Hoop?

Yes, absolutely. The hoop includes cloud storage for between five and sixty days, depending on your subscription level, but you can also permanently save videos to a microSD™ card up to 256GB.
